Sedimentary Geology

geobody research

To top

In view of the global crisis (economic, environmental, ressources, etc.), sedimentary geology can make key contributions for a sustainable development of planet earth.

As part of a leading Geoscience Institute in Germany, we are an enthousiastic team devoted to the study of geological bodies (“geobodies”), that form the containers of oil, gas, groundwater and other natural ressources.

We are fascinated by integration: a) integration of scales: from microscopic to seismic-scale, b) integration of dimensions: from one-dimensional to three-dimensional analysis, c) integration of techniques: from sedimentological to geophysical methodology, d) integration of work spheres: combining outcrop, subsurface, laboratory and modelling work.
